Based on the actual story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters who risk everything to protect a community from a particularly severe fire. In 2007, Eric Marsh of the Prescott Fire Department is perplexed while combating a forest shoot when the Type 1 or “Superstar” bleeding edge backwoods putting out fires groups from afar overturn his practical thoughts to his area’s distress. That is what will change, when Marsh receives Mayoral approval to attempt to organize a very confirmed metropolitan-based Hotshot organization for Prescott.

Keeping this in mind, Marsh requires recruits, like the young wastrel Brendan McDonough, to undergo extensive training and competency testing for the most dangerous firefighting duty. En route, the new group tackles the challenge, and the renowned Granite Mountain Hotshots are born. In doing so, all of the guys, notably McDonough, are transformed as fresh experiences and growth are gained in fire-manufactured kinship. This is evaluated in 2013 with the historic Yarnell Hill Fire, which will necessitate efforts and forfeitures that no one can ignore.
